Overcoming your fears

Fear is the duality in the human experience of Love. It's when our mind becomes afraid of what may be while our hearts are always ready to risk.
Dread in my experience is worse than fear because it is the fearful anticipation of something awful and unwanted and it causes us to brood and marinate in negative future fantasy.
I usually become aware of dread as a creepy, cringy feeling of discomfort in my gut in the days or weeks leading up to an event that feels threatening to my sense of static security because of its potentiality for change.
"The goal of survival through self-preservation and avoiding change paradoxically has the most detrimental effect on our survival and thriving nature because in an attempt to keep everything status quo, and not risk change, we are denying the innate nature of our Being and that of our Universe."
We are dynamic beings, ever changing, ever growing and evolutionary.
The mind that is a part of our consciousness, clings to comfort, security and control in order to remain ‘safe’.
Comfort from keeping things familiar. Familiarity of people, circumstances, things and habitual patterns however uncomfortable these may actually be;
Gaining a false sense of Security by avoiding change at all costs and keeping things the same, recognizable and familiar;
Control is a way the mind attempts to monitor change and squash it.
Meta-Thinking is a tool that can be practiced to become aware of the direction of our thoughts and determine whether they are positive and uplifting or if they are moving us in the direction of negativity, fear, mistrust and dread.
It’s a skill when practiced, gives us the ability to think from behind our ‘thinking’ and change the direction of our thoughts toward positive objectivity and wisdom.
"As we realize that the mind is simply a tool which helps us evaluate for our personality or small selves, we can choose to use it for uplifting us instead of squashing our inspiration, creativity, joy, courage and strength of heart."
Through Meta-thinking, I have learnt to utilize my mind to be my cheerleader, my supporter, my avant-garde instead of my evil step – sister, my nemesis, always critical and vigilant of any inspired action or heartfelt dream.
Have you experienced this aspect of duality in your intention for yourself and your heartfelt dreams?
When you want to roar ahead with optimism, enthusiasm and an adventurous spirit while you find that you are holding yourself back in caution, superstition, and vigilance of an impending sense of danger.
The only danger is when we avoid and deny our heartfelt dreams and wishes by not taking action that is congruent, as that erodes our Joy and Aliveness.
To live in a state of Greater Equanimity means neither fleeing from ‘bad’ times nor grasping on to ‘good’ ones but being in a state of Equanimity, Inner Harmony, Peace and Acceptance of it all.
Meta-thinking has assisted me in letting go of dread every time my mind contracts as my heart wants to expand.
For change is imminent with every opportunity of growth, advancement, exploration and adventure into newer territories of the Divine Unknown.
